Announcing New Listings

06_scenery4lg.jpg

There have been a number of new listings over the past while, and to honour each of them, I’ll be posting a New Listing Announcement once each day to introduce the latest Fishing Lodge and Tourism Marketing Organizations to have become new members with the CanadianFishingBook.com Network of Websites.

Sound Start in 2007

I’m very fortunate to have a few leaders in the Tourism Industry trust the new ideas and support this project last year in it’s infancy.

And I’m very proud to have a 100% Renewal Rate with everyone who placed and ad with me last year!

Exciting Year Ahead

But I’m even more excited about the upcoming 2009 Tourism Marketing Season.

New Partnerships

This year we have new partnerships that will extend our marketing reach and bring even greater results for our second year.

All Canada Sport Shows

Northern Ontario Tourism Operators Association

New Listing Benefits

The List Is Long

There is a long list of technical upgrades to the CanadianFishingBook.com Fishing Lodge Directory as we prepare for the 2009 marketing season!

The process of re-building the database is now almost complete. The process has been slow as I’ve been finding each Lodge’s exact location using Google Earth.

Individual Google Maps

The Individual Google Maps are now included for each Featured Listing!

However, many of the Master Investor Listings have started out with slight errors in their locator pins. At first, I mistakenly used radian measure for longditude and latitude, where degrees should have been used…

If your Google Map location is incorrect at the moment, don’t worry, it will be fixed presently.

Syndicated Publication

Tech speak: All of the RSS Feeds from CanadianFishingBook.com have been registered at several RSS Feed Aggregator services.  This means that each time a new listing is added or changed - multiple listings on several popular websites will automatically be updated with the same content as well.

Benefits: we make it easy to spread your marketing message to more audiences of anglers!

OK - back to work, more details to follow.

Tourism Marketing

You’ve likely heard it already.

You already know that 2/3 of travelers ONLY
use the Internet to plan their vacations.

From mapping the driving route or booking the airline tickets, booking transportation, accommodations and event tickets, to browsing pictures and menus to find local restaurants before they start their vacation - today’s travelers are captivated by a relationship that BEGINS and grows online.

Tourism Marketing for 2009 and beyond.

New Social Media sites like Facebook have made it easy and compeling for millions of people to register and connect with dozens, sometimes hundreds of family and friends.

Match this up with the fact that, on a personal level, most Tourism Operators have also used Social Media sites to connect with their family and friends online - and it’s like peanut butter and chocolate!

Now, more than ever, travel and tourism business owners can target and build a relationship with their ideal client, while both people are at home, without the cost of traveling to Sport Shows

Remember - your ideal client now logs into Facebook or eMail daily…
but, they only attend Sport Shows annually…

Douglas Lampi takes the guess-work out of Tourism Marketing, by teaching the small business owner Social Media strategies that build lasting, measureable results.

Save time, go directly to the most effective strategies. Learn to protect your personal privacy while boosting your business connectedness.

Doug can show you how to spend just one hour each evening online through this winter to build online relationships with new prospects - and especially with people who have booked a vacation with you, now, or in the past.

With Social Media Marketing prepared in advance for next season, then you can REALLY maximize the power of word-of-mouth adversiting from your current guests with real-time, online exposure before your client’s entire friend networks.

Here’s an example:

Say you have a group of 6 visitors who each have 60 friends on Facebook. Have your guests stand together for a digital picture before they paddle off on their trip. You post the picture to your Facebook Fan page, and tag them in the picture… and instantly, ALL of their friends and family are notified! In this example you can leverage the relationships of your guests to reach 360 people with your marketing message - before your clients have paddled around the bend!

If you can see how fast and big this can be,
then you know your business has to be a part of it.
